Road Closures & Diversions

There are a number of temporary road closures in the Fleet area on 11 March 2007 to ensure the safety of runners in the ASICS Fleet Pre-London Half Marathon. Fleet & Crookham AC would like to thank the residents of Fleet and the surrounding area for their support over the years. This has enabled the race to become the top Half Marathon in the South-East (Runners' World 2005) and one of the best in the country.

The race route has been decided in co-operation with Hampshire Police, Hart Council and Hampshire Highways to provide as little disruption as possible to local residents. Diversions will be signposted. All roads are closed prior to the arrival of the first runners and re-opened as soon as the final runner has past. Roads near the start of the race such as Merivale, Lea Wood Road, Tavistock Road, Crookham Road, Fleet Road, Stockton Avenue and Elvetham Road are closed for only a short period.
